A Strategic Leap Forward
In 2021, Northern Tool & Equipment took a significant step toward becoming a truly global organization by establishing its second headquarters (HQ2) in Hyderabad, India.
The establishment of HQ2 has accelerated our digital transformation, enabling us to strengthen key areas such as Data Analytics, e-Commerce, Supply Chain Optimization, Customer Support and Shared Services.

What We Do in India
Our India office is a strategic extension of our global operations, playing a vital role in driving innovation, efficiency and growth across the business. We partner closely with our teams across the U.S. and globally to deliver high-quality outcomes across a wide range of functions.
Product Engineering
Our engineering team collaborates on the design and lifecycle management of key products. We support innovation, cost optimization and design activities, with expertise in both mechanical and electrical engineering. We’re building toward a future center of excellence in product development and testing.


Information Technology
Our IT team supports critical systems across retail, e-commerce, supply chain and finance. We focus on application development, cloud infrastructure, ERP, data analytics, AI/ML and DevOps, playing a key role in Northern Tool’s digital transformation.
Enterprise Data Platform
The EDP team delivers data services and insights to multiple departments, helping drive informed business decisions. We support end-to-end data pipelines, reporting and visualization.
Integrations Team
We build and manage system integrations across platforms and marketplaces. We also manage payment integrations, affiliate feeds and web app development.
e-Commerce Product Team
Our e-commerce team supports global website operations with backend/frontend development, QA, DevOps and release management. We ensure smooth functionality, user experience and platform performance.
Retail POS
Our team ensures real-time issue resolution, release management and system monitoring for retail stores. We manage store system configurations and bug fixes across technology platforms in retail.
Finance
The Finance team plays a vital role in driving financial health, operational efficiency and strategic planning across the organization. From managing vendor and customer transactions to enabling data-driven financial decisions, our team supports the business end-to-end.
Finance – Accounts Payable
We manage vendor onboarding, invoice processing, payment runs, returns and month-end closings. Our team ensures timely payments and efficient vendor interactions.
Finance – Accounts Receivable
We handle chargebacks, invoicing, D365 setups, refunds and reconciliations. Our goal is to maintain cash flow accuracy and customer account integrity.
Financial Accounting + Controlling
We track sales, cash and inventory across retail locations. Our team handles reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis and financial reporting.
Financial Planning + Analysis (FP+A)
We support global budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting and scenario modelling, ensuring strategic financial planning and cost efficiency.


Marketing
Our team manages Digital and Print Marketing execution, Campaign Management, Marketplace Operations, Analytics, Quality Assurance (QA) and Workforce Management (WFM) to drive performance and support business growth.

Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Quality Assurance is extended team of Merchandizing department. Team in India is striving to expand India supply base footprints and provide support w.r.t offer new product, deliver on time and on quality products, drive cost saving projects and achieve revenue goals.
